Job Summary
Sets up and organizes the work area with all necessary supplies and equipment, follows standardized recipes to prepare and plate menu items, and ensures timely service. Maintains food quality by inspecting, rotating, and storing raw products, monitors temperatures and sanitation, uses knives and kitchen equipment safely, notifies supervisors of equipment malfunctions or delays, and supports closing duties. Demonstrates teamwork, adheres to safety regulations, and upholds hotel standards and cleanliness while delivering consistent, high-quality guest experiences in a full-service hotel kitchen.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three+ years cooking experience in upscale, high-volume hotel or freestanding restaurant OR post-secondary culinary training/certification as Cook
- Thorough knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend; lift up to 50 pounds
- English language proficiency
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
