Job Summary
Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions by following recipe cards and production standards. Start items ahead of time, rotate perishables, check pars for shift use, assist in keeping buffet stocked, and return unused items to storage. Help correct food cost problems and waste, operate and clean kitchen equipment (fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, etc.), and comply with attendance expectations. Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork to support a hospitable, safety-conscious kitchen environment and contribute to ongoing preparation and service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing up to 100 lbs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
