Job Summary
Prepare meals for patients following dietary modifications and approved substitutions; plan cooking schedules to ensure timely service; label and date items, check temperatures, maintain portion control, and uphold sanitation and infection-control standards. Provide courteous service to patients, staff, and visitors, support onboarding and training of new staff, comply with HIPAA and hospital policies, and uphold the hospital mission and quality standards (DNV and ISO 9001).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous hospital or healthcare food preparation preferred
- Current food handler’s certification preferred
