Job Summary
Cook I is responsible for preparing food items, cooking to menu and restaurant standards, stocking and organizing kitchen areas, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety. Under the Production Lead, the role requires reading and following recipes, ensuring food quality and safety, maintaining proper storage with labeled items, and adhering to health regulations. The position requires a valid food handler’s permit, Serv-Safe certification, ability to lift 50+ pounds, obtaining a State/Tribal License, successful pre-employment drug screening, and being at least 18 years old. Indian Preference is noted via submission of Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB).
Required Qualifications
- Valid food handler’s permit
- Serv-Safe certification
- Minimum 1 year experience as a prep cook, kitchen utility, or line cook
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and push/pull 100
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a State/Tribal License (including an extensive background check)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be 18 years of age
- Familiarity with FIFO process and kitchen sanitation standards
- Indian Preference: submit Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with application
