Job Summary
Cook I is responsible for providing quality food consistently and efficiently, adhering to company recipes and portion guidelines. The role involves maintaining a safe and organized workspace, managing food supplies to minimize waste, and performing duties as assigned by management. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic culinary knowledge, and the ability to interact positively with guests and co-workers. The position may require passing a TB test and drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Passed a tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 12 months of hire
- Pass a drug screening test
- Ability to push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for at least 6-8 hours
- Knowledgeable of food handling procedures and safety/sanitation guidelines
- Basic math and writing skills
- Ability to interact with guests and co-workers in a friendly manner
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
Desired Qualifications
- Previous culinary experience and/or education preferred
