Job Summary
Perform a variety of functions necessary for kitchen operation while adhering to facility and OSHA safety rules. Identify patients using at least two identifiers verbally and by checking ID bracelets, and interact with physicians, guests, staff, and patients pleasantly and cooperatively. Complete department orientation and initial competency assessments within the first 7 to 90 days of hire, and maintain punctuality for assigned shifts. Follow HIPAA regulations, respect cultural and religious practices of patients, and dress within facility dress code requirements. Multitask effectively while following hospital-wide and department-specific policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to multitask and follow directions
- Candidates must be able to pass drug screens, both pre-employment and throughout duration of employment
- MUST HAVE ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE IN A HOSPITAL TYPE SETTING
- Must interact with physicians, guest, staff, and patients pleasantly, cooperatively, and effectively
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- BLS preferred
- Experience in hospital dietary department preferred
