Job Summary
Prepare all food items using standardized recipes for the Restaurant/Dining Outlet, Cafe, Room Service, Banquets, and Employee Cafeteria while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, productivity, and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and storage areas, including buffets and kitchen lines, adhering to the "Clean As You Go" policy and proper food rotation procedures. Complete necessary food and station preparations prior to opening and breakdown buffets and lines at the end of each meal period. Work banquet food stations as scheduled and service food for the associate cafeteria following specifications. Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner while maintaining proper uniform and grooming. Comply with all safety regulations, fire equipment protocols, and Aimbridge Hospitality standards to ensure safe operations.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, walking, stooping, handling, and moving objects up to 50 lbs
- Available to work weekends and/ or holidays may be required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Know the location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment
- Be familiar with all hotel policies and house rules
- Be familiar with the hotel's emergency procedures
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
