Job Summary
Cook I at Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino with Chop Block & Brew responsibilities includes preparing assigned menu items per standardized recipes, chopping and dicing ingredients, plating entrees, salads, and appetizers, operating grill/fryer/French-top, maintaining station par levels, stocking ingredients, ensuring cleanliness and safety, performing cashiering duties when applicable, and collaborating with shift leaders and staff to deliver high-quality food. Requires adherence to food safety regulations, proper labeling and rotation of stock, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and flexibility with scheduling while providing friendly, service-oriented guest interactions. Must demonstrate teamwork, accurate cash handling, and support for company standards and policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One-year previous culinary experience in a high-volume food service operation is preferred
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand Basic English.
- Must have the ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
