Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for meal preparation, cooking, shopping, and meal planning in coordination with menus prepared by a Nutritionist. Duties include following dietary restrictions, measuring ingredients, maintaining food inventories, storing food properly, reporting maintenance needs, and scheduling events. Candidates must have at least one year of cooking experience, be able to lift 25 lbs, and comply with OPWDD regulations regarding food services. The position offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time work.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook (at least one year experience)
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs
- Must be in good physical condition and able to bend, twist, and reach during duties
- Familiarity with OPWDD regulations regarding food and kitchen area

- Ability to work well with staff members and the individuals we support
- Ability to follow both verbal and written directions
- Ability to cook following menus and meal preparation guidelines
