Job Summary
Maintain a safe culinary environment in a healthcare facility, following infection-control procedures; prepare and plate nourishing meals per menu with residents' needs in mind; keep kitchen clean and organized, ensure safe food temperatures, report shortages or equipment issues to Culinary Lead, assist with Health Department inspections when they occur, accommodate extra shifts or special occasions, and support overall nutrition and meal services for residents.
Required Qualifications
- Cook/Dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care home or other related medical facility is preferred but not required
- Experience in cooking a variety of food in large quantities
- Food Handlers or Serv Safe certification
- Experience with food preparation and nutrition
