Job Summary
Prepare salads, bake desserts, and complete menu meals on time with minimal supervision; read and follow production sheets and menus; actively seek ways to reduce food waste and use resources efficiently; Safely operate kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness of ovens, grills, workspaces, and utensils; comply with safety practices and log required information; check orders against invoices; be available for weekend coverage and rotating on-call situations; contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment and support residents and staff, particularly the elderly, while upholding sanitation and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least two years’ experience with food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety, sanitation, and menu preparation
- current Food Handlers Certification or willing to obtain within thirty (30) days of hire
- may be required to hold valid First Aid Certification
- Speak, read, and understand the English language
