Job Summary
Cook at Hope Center responsible for the preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods, including baking rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies; work on the tray line during meal service; general kitchen cleanup; hand washing and sanitizing of pots and pans; and other duties as assigned. Requires healthcare cooking certification (SERV Safe or Sodexo), at least 1 year of experience in large-scale cooking, strong knowledge of large-scale & therapeutic food prep, ability to perform physical work, and strong teamwork and customer service/communication skills. Will supervise the kitchen in the absence of the food service director. High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in healthcare cooking (SERV Safe or Sodexo)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in large-scale cooking

- Must be able to do some physical work
- Should be a strong team player
