Job Summary
Cook menu items according to recipes and standards; maintain a clean, organized workstation; follow food safety and sanitation guidelines; communicate with team to ensure timely service; assist with prep and other kitchen tasks as needed. Must have basic cooking skills and knife handling, understand safety and sanitation procedures, and have prior cook experience. The role requires standing/walking 6–8 hours per shift, ability to read/write English, and the ability to take direction, stay organized, problem-solve, and work calmly under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Previous cook experience
- Stands/walks 6 to 8 hours per shift
- Reaches, lifts and bends, frequently
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to read and write English
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
