Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents, following dietary guidelines, menus, and special dietary needs. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking meals according to approved menus and resident preferences, assisting with menu planning and portion control, ensuring proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in line with state and federal regulations, accommodating residents’ dietary needs in coordination with dietary staff or healthcare professionals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, collaborating with dietary team members to ensure timely meal service, monitoring inventory and assisting with ordering to minimize waste, and following all safety and infection control protocols in food preparation and service.
