Job Summary
Cook varied recipes and prepare food using production guidelines and standardized recipes. Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment, measure and prep ingredients (weighing, chopping, trimming, peeling), safely use utensils and equipment (ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers), cook with multiple methods (baking, roasting, broiling, steaming), garnish and portion foods per guidelines, store food safely, and sanitize work areas and equipment. Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers. Adhere to food safety policies and company safety procedures, and protect company assets. Role may involve changes to duties to meet client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
