Job Summary

Cook Supervisor in the healthcare dietary department: prepares hot and cold menu items according to production sheets and recipes, serves resident meals on time, covers for staff who are out, ensures correct food and equipment temperatures are recorded, maintains sanitation standards, interacts with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction, tracks inventory and communicates supply needs, disciplines staff as needed, leads daily staff huddle, and supports Dietary Manager with duties in their absence. Requires ability to read recipes, follow production sheets and diet orders, and Serve Safe certification (or ability to earn within 90 days). Flexible hours and potential supervisory responsibilities. Minimum 1 year of healthcare or restaurant experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High School or Culinary Tech Graduate
  • Ability to read, understand and follow recipes, production sheets counts, diet orders, tray tickets and all employee work responsibilities and flows
  • Understand after training on computer software system for resident information and preferences
  • Must be Serve Safe Certified or able to earn within the first 90 days of starting
  • Minimum of 1 years of previous Dietary (Healthcare) or Restaurant Experience
  • Previous Supervisory Experience preferred
