Job Summary
Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment, prepare ingredients by chopping and peeling vegetables, and cook food items for various meal periods or special events. Follow basic recipes and production information while ensuring great presentation by dressing dishes before service. Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment, store items properly, and adhere to all HACCP and safety policies. This role requires continuous standing or walking up to 8 hours daily and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as cook
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Very good communication skills
- Continuous standing/walking and other means of mobility up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds
