Job Summary
Prepare food in accordance with established policy and procedures on an assigned shift while exhibiting conduct that complies with Illinois Gaming Board rules, federal laws, and company policies. Deliver positive, courteous guest service to visitors and vendors, knowing menu items and recipes to season and garnish dishes as instructed. Maintain a safe, clean work environment, resolve challenges in a fast-paced setting, and ensure responsible gaming and alcohol service by notifying management of concerns. Perform duties including special events, crowd control, and property cleanliness as needed. Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a gaming license
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a prep cook, line cook, or specialty cook in a high-volume environment
- Demonstrated successful performance in a cook role
- Ability to exercise good judgment and confidentiality
- Ability to use knives, other hand-held instruments, and other food preparation equipment
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Display strong work ethic and teamwork
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Culinary training in an accredited culinary degree program
