Job Summary

Set up and sanitize workstations, measure ingredients, and prepare cooking ingredients according to prep lists created by the lead culinary. Produce excellent food using flat tops, fryers, and combi ovens as directed by the Executive Chef. Ensure proper storage, monitor cooling room temperatures, and accept or reject ingredients from suppliers while maintaining a clean, sanitized kitchen. Run food on event days and assist chefs with any culinary tasks that arise. Perform other duties as assigned, including lifting up to 40 lbs and working 8-12 hour shifts. This seasonal, part-time role offers on-the-job training at one of Georgia's premier event venues with competitive pay and daily meals per shift.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen
  • Experience in catering
  • ServSafe certified
  • Available to receive ServSafe training
  • Live within commuting distance of GNFA
  • Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Must understand food safety practices including, but not limited to, temperature logs and cleaning/sanitizing
  • Planning and multi-tasking
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level and strong verbal communication
  • Ability to work 8-12 hour shifts depending on business needs
  • Prolonged periods of being in one place and moving throughout the stadium
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40+ lbs
  • Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • Dependable, reliable and follows through on projects from inception to completion
  • Willing to put in as much time as necessary to complete tasks
