Job Summary
Cook at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital: prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions using standardized recipes; reads patient meal tickets and verifies identifiers, recipes, ingredients, labels, and dating; maintains quality, safety, and sanitation standards; ensures items are wrapped, stored, and labeled properly; accounts for service in a hospital environment with patient-focused service, a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 for new hires, weekend/holiday rotation, and opportunities to contribute to patient care through Nourishing meals; requires some prior food service experience and a High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
