Job Summary
Under the supervision of the department food service production manager, responsible for the preparation of covering varied food shifts including room service, cafeteria, day care, etc. Produces high-volume/bulk cooking for designated areas and prepares Ala Carte, short order, and room service style cooking. Follows standardized recipes and procedures, maintains sanitation and HACCP standards, and participates in departmental meetings. Requires knowledge of department operations, safety practices, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital food service environment; previous culinary experience and ability to produce quality presentations are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of one year related experience and/or training
