Job Summary
Prepare meals for clients at the Dunwoody Behavioral Healthcare residential location under the supervision of the Head Chef, ensuring quality dishes are served on schedule. Create and post updated menus, order supplies, and maintain compliance with Board of Health requirements and Georgia Guidelines. Monitor food temperatures, sanitize refrigeration units, and document logs while ensuring all products are within expiration dates. Batch scratch food preparation and modify meals per individual dietary restrictions and client needs. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, secure inventory in locked storage, and report equipment faults or accidents immediately. Requires ServSafe certification, culinary techniques, and knowledge of nutrition and diet therapy.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2+ years of culinary experience
- ServSafe Certification
- Must cook and prepare meals for clients following dietary guidelines, meal modification, restrictions per client's needs
- Culinary cooking techniques
- nutrition and diet therapy knowledge
- food and sanitation safety and food waste control
- Knowledge of time temperature of food preparation and storage
- Experience with functionality of commercial kitchen equipment
