Job Summary
Cook (Full-Time) at Zaxbys — The team is responsible for creating guest experiences by cooking, assembling orders, stocking inventory, maintaining food safety and cleanliness, and supporting front-of-house operations. Duties include receiving and stocking inventory, preparing menu items to company standards, operating kitchen equipment safely, maintaining sanitary work areas, packaging orders, and staying aware of current promotions and brand representation. Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Ability to work 32 to 40 hours per week
- Sit, stand, and walk continuously
- Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
- Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing
- Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the environment
- Work in an environment with temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
- Operate restaurant equipment including knives, fryers, and potentially hazardous equipment
- Complete all training requirements (e.g., Back of House Development Plan)
- Prepare menu items according to company standards and in a safe and sanitary manner
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
- Receive and stock incoming inventory deliveries
- Inform management when inventory is needed
- Clean and organize storage areas
- Other duties as assigned
