Job Summary
Prepare menu items according to standard recipes and maintain kitchen equipment to established standards. Keep the kitchen area meeting state sanitary requirements while completing all tasks adhering to hospital safety policies and procedures. Serve meals to staff and guests when volume requires, and complete continuing education credits as needed. Adhere to behavioral standards including AIDET principles, customer service scripting, and positive attitude management. Maintain effective relationships with customers and co-workers while following HIPAA guidelines, patient rights policies, and all compliance programs. Ensure safety by utilizing standard precautions in the clinical setting and demonstrating knowledge of fire drills, emergency codes, and hazard management programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Current city/state food service/ sanitation license
Desired Qualifications
- High volume restaurant or medical center environment preferred
- Culinary training degree preferred
