Job Summary
Cook position at Benchmark Senior Living requires preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for residents in a community setting, following applicable dietary procedures and regulations, operating kitchen equipment safely (e.g., meat slicer, food processor, ovens, grills, steamers), establishing productive production lines, and presenting meals with quality presentation while maintaining a positive, engaging demeanor with residents and families. Role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to standards, and reliability with schedule-stabilizing hours. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary Arts training preferred
- 2 years of dietary experience
- Knowledge of dietary procedures, as well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
- Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise personnel
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing position for extended periods
