Job Summary
Cook to prepare world-famous chicken cooked to order or kept warm, operate large-volume equipment (griddles, grills, deep fryers), and follow food-order instructions. Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen, assist with washing/cutting of ingredients, and perform related duties as assigned. Requires strong communication, ability to learn sanitation regulations, proficiency in basic food-handling techniques, teamwork, ability to work under pressure, and availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; lifting up to 15 pounds. Located in Oak Ridge, TN (KFC location).
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety
- Basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly
- Must be able to work well as part of a team
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Ability to maintain personal cleanliness
