Job Summary
Cook an assortment of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while preparing and portioning food products prior to service. Handle final plate preparation, including plating, garnishing, and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu items. Act as the liaison for the Dietary Manager in their absence to ensure accurate meal prep and delivery. Follow and prepare standardized recipes, manage inventory, purchase supplies, and rotate stock. Clean the kitchen and all equipment before and after use. Develop recipes and ensure compliance. Handle last-minute requests for special events.
Required Qualifications
- Classically trained & experienced in a high-volume culinary environment
- Accurately and efficiently cook an assortment of meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner
- Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
- Follow & prepare standardized recipes
- Inventory management & purchasing
- Rotation of stock
- Recipe development & compliance
- Capable of handling last minute requests for special events
