Job Summary
Prepare menus and cook food for residents in accordance with nutritional guidelines and prescribed diets; assist with inventory control and storage; maintain a clean, safe kitchen and adhere to infection-control standards; coordinate food services for community events; report equipment malfunctions to management; promote residents’ independence in eating, including use of adaptive equipment; participate in required safety and training courses and support a secure environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school education
- Experience in cooking for large groups a plus
- Certified in food-preparation training preferred
- Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards and fire and safety procedures
- Background Screening Requirement - Level 2 in Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
