Job Summary
Cook responsible for preparing menus, cooking food to meet nutritional needs and residents’ prescribed diets, assisting with inventory control and storage, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen. Responsibilities include preparing menus, coordinating food services for special community events, reporting equipment issues, ensuring infection-control standards, and following safety procedures. Requires high school education; background screening is required. Part-time position based in Lady Lake, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school education
- Experience in cooking for large groups a plus
- Certified in food-preparation training preferred
- Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards and fire and safety procedures
