Job Summary
Prepare quality menu items daily in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and as directed by the Chef/Kitchen Manager. Communicate with supervisors, peers, and wait staff to run the serving line accurately. Follow regulations for safe food handling, use equipment safely, and maintain inventory of cold foods. Full-time position starting at $19.00 per hour. Requires current Arizona Food Handlers Sanitation card and two years in institutional cooking.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a current Arizona Food Handlers Sanitation card
- Two years in institutional cooking
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must understand, speak, read and write fluent English
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Course in food production, sanitation, and safety preferred
- Vocational or technical education desirable
- In-depth knowledge of cooking trends and best practices
