Job Summary
Cook responsibilities involve controlling food usage to minimize waste, preparing and cooking orders in a timely manner, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, restocking items, and promoting teamwork through daily communication. Required qualifications include at least one year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen, basic cooking knowledge, strong communication skills, and mathematical skills. Culinary certification and food service permits are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year experience of cooking on a fast paced kitchen line
- Basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation
- Strong communication skills
- Reading and writing abilities
- Mathematical skills including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary certified training preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
Additional Requirements
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds
