Job Summary
Prep, cook, and serve meals to residents, families, guests, and employees while accommodating special diets and resident requests. Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and efficiently organized work area, properly operating and maintaining all kitchen equipment. Manage inventory by stocking groceries, labeling products, and reporting shortages or overages to the supervisor. Follow established policies, recipes, and production guidelines for portion control and best product usage. Provide exemplary service to ensure all individuals feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous care. Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Commercial kitchen experience
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Previous senior care experience
- Serv Safe certification or equivalent
- Certified Food Protection Manager
