Job Summary

Cook/Dietary Technician responsible for preparing meals per standardized recipes, coordinating cooking schedules, serving meals to patients and guests, maintaining dining areas, and supervising staff during shifts. Ensures attractive and palatable food selections, adherence to dietary policies, safe food practices, and hospitality standards. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and related experience, including two years of hospital/nursing facility food service experience; desire to work with Hospice patients.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of successful experience in a hospital, nursing home, governmental or school facility food service program or successful completion of a formalized technical education or other food service class
