Job Summary
Cook meals and provide food service for patients, the retail cafe, and catering events at the hospital under the guidance of the chef/production manager. Prepare high-quality meals following company recipes and guidelines while maintaining a clean, organized work area and adhering to health and safety policies. Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently. Full-time and part-time positions available with Day/Evening/Night shifts; hourly pay is $18.00. Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Communicate effectively in English
- Work well in a team environment
- Practice good personal hygiene
- Be neatly groomed
- Be in uniform
- Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously
- Must be able to push dish racks
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place
