Job Summary
Cook and custodian cooking and serving nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules while ensuring all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner. Clean kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances; maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner; and perform facilities cleaning duties comprising 50% of the workload. Drive a Salvation Army vehicle safely following all laws, regulations, and policies. Work Thursday through Thursday from 3 pm to 7:30 pm on a one week on, one week off schedule. Requires ability to read, write, and communicate in English; cook, taste, and smell food; and perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.

- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively
- Ability to cook, taste and smell food
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing
- Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle safely following all laws, regulations, and policies
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One-year experience cooking food for large groups
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
