Job Summary
Prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts while maintaining State sanitation and Health Department regulations. Check food quality, set up workstations, and stock designated areas from the storeroom. Start daily menu prep, inform staff of unavailable items and specials, and maintain proper storage procedures. Complete opening and closing duties including inspecting equipment, cleaning prep areas, organizing storage, and turning off unused tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent
- Experience with food preparation and handling
Desired Qualifications
- Certification of Culinary training or apprenticeship is preferred
