Job Summary
Cook on a fast-paced kitchen line responsible for controlling food usage to minimize waste, preparing and cooking orders, assisting with inventory and restocking, maintaining sanitation and a clean organized work area, reporting equipment issues, and occasionally performing ware washing. Must demonstrate basic cooking knowledge, recipe following, portion control, and presentation; strong communication to coordinate with other cooks, wait staff and supervisors; capable of multitasking and may interact with guests. May work nights, weekends, and/or holidays; physical requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year experience cooking on a fast paced kitchen line and food preparation experience
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- Culinary certified training preferred
