Job Summary
As a Cook at Cornerstone Preschool and Childcare, you will prepare and cook nutritious meals for children, maintain kitchen cleanliness, assist with inventory, and collaborate with teaching staff to create a positive mealtime atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to stoop, bend, lift up to 60lbs., and stand up to 95% of the day
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Must pass a background check and comply with health and safety regulations
- Complete required number of hours in staff development activities, in-service training and workshops per year
Desired Qualifications
- Food Safe Certificate
- Food handler's certificate
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment, preferably in childcare
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for young children
