Job Summary

Cook at Corewell Health responsible for hot and cold food preparation across hospital dining locations including line and prep cooking, vegetable prep, short order cooking, catering, and mise en place. Tasks include following standardized recipes, calculating ingredients by weight/volume, preparing soups and entrees, monitoring food temperatures and quality, replacing items that do not meet standards, labeling/dating items, utilizing leftovers appropriately, and coordinating with staff to ensure continuity of service. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant food service experience, plus CRT-Accredited Food Handler, Food Allergy Certificate, or Food Protection Manager certifications. Schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., full-time, 40 hours per week, at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph in St Joseph, MI. Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience in food service or equivalent experience
