Job Summary
Cook prepares and serves meals for patients in accordance with Life Care standards and applicable laws. Responsibilities include preparing meals that are appetizing and appropriate for each patient, understanding ordered diets and food consistency, ensuring food and supplies for the next meal are ready, serving meals timely, utilizing production tools and recipes, and exhibiting excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism. The role requires adherence to confidentiality, safety and sanitation standards, teamwork with interdisciplinary staff, and following the department's programs, goals, policies, and procedures; secondary duties include assisting in patient evacuation and maintaining regular attendance. Must read/write/speak English; Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One (1) year experience in food preparation preferred
- Experience in preparing and cooking food in large quantities
