Job Summary
Prepare all food items for meal service, planning production to coordinate with serving hours while following standardized recipes and portion control guidelines. Cook meals according to regular, therapeutic, and special diet orders, operating kitchen equipment safely and adhering to food safety, sanitation, and production regulations. Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances to ensure a safe, organized environment. Collaborate with the Dietary Department to deliver exceptional meal service in accordance with facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Current ServSafe Certification
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One (1) year of dining services experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or healthcare setting preferred
- Culinary school training preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and therapeutic diets preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
