Job Summary
Cook responsible for preparing a variety of foods for residents, families, and visitors, and for overseeing kitchen operations and other food service staff. Duties include following established menus and recipes, ensuring proper preparation and portioning, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, supervising kitchen staff, contributing menu or recipe suggestions aligned with dietician guidelines, managing food handling to prevent contamination, supporting a dignified atmosphere for residents and families, communicating effectively, practicing HIPAA, training new dining staff as needed, and taking initiative on special projects or assignments. Coordinates with culinary assistants and participates in trainings while adhering to attendance, dress code, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
