Job Summary
Prepare food according to recipes and Chef instructions while maintaining clean, organized workstations and storage areas. Assist with timely preparation of customer orders and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to support daily kitchen operations. Work collaboratively with the Chef and kitchen team, ensuring smooth service during Tuesday–Saturday shifts from 3pm to close. This 90-day training role offers a 6-month evaluation for a raise within a stable, family-owned San Pedro institution.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of proven experience in a commercial kitchen
- Bilingual (Spanish/English or Spanish-speaking)
- Valid Food Handler or Manager Certification
- Knowledge of Mexican food
- Honest, responsible, dependable, and punctual
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow directions
