Job Summary
Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff, including morning snacks, lunch, and afternoon snacks for approximately 250 children. Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed. Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Candidates must pass required background checks, hold a high school degree or GED, and possess a food service/food handler permit. This role is part of Bright Horizons' mission to make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school degree or GED
- Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen
- Food service/food handler permit or license according to state/local regulations (or a plan to complete those requirements with support of the center)
- Must pass required state and company background checks
- Must meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- Must comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training
