Job Summary
Cook at Chick-fil-A, responsible for preparing and cooking foods across multiple kitchen stations (Primary, Secondary, Fry, Breading, and Machines) with a focus on quality and food safety. Communicates ticket times and potential issues to shift leads/managers, follows recipes and product directions, monitors production requirements, and assists with stocking and sanitation of workstations. Requires food preparation skills, ability to work in a hot environment, and familiarity with high-volume, quick-service restaurant operations; duties include tasting products, following menus, rotating stock, and adhering to food safety standards. Active Food Handler’s card and ability to read and comprehend instructions are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of closely related cooking experience (high-volume, quick-service environment preferred)
- Food Handler’s card/Certified Food Handler
- Ability to read and follow policies, menus, and recipes
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds; operate kitchen equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
