Job Summary

Prepare and execute breakfast, lunch, and dinner service from scratch using fresh ingredients while managing your station for prep, cooking, plating, and maintenance. Follow recipes to deliver restaurant-quality meals, ensure proper food handling and sanitation, and collaborate with dining staff for smooth service. Assist with inventory rotation, special events, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Requires 3+ years of scratch restaurant experience, solid knife skills, and current ServSafe or Food Handler certification. Offers flexible day and evening shifts with rotating schedules, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) contributions, and a steady-paced work environment within an independent senior living community.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of cooking experience in a scratch restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen
  • Solid knife skills and working knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Ability to manage prep and production in a fast-paced but organized environment
  • Current Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification and MAST (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player who takes pride in their work
  • Pass a Department of Social and Health Services background check (some negative actions can be acceptable)
