Job Summary
The Cook will prepare and serve meals in a food-services facility, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, following the facility menu and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with Nursing Services on diet changes, supervising dietary aides, ensuring proper receiving, storage, and sanitation, following FDA Food Code temperatures, and maintaining food quality and presentation. Strong attention to detail, good communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain safety and sanitation across food service operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Specialized training in foodservice required
- Must complete an approved sanitation and safety course
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Must provide a criminal background check
