Job Summary
Dietary Cook at a Nursing facility responsible for preparing and assisting with meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies. Will coordinate food services with other departments, may be directed by the Dietitian to ensure quality food service, review menus prior to preparation, and handle large-quantity cooking while maintaining sanitation and dietary procedures. Must have Illinois Food Service Sanitation certification, be able to read/write English, and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; 2 years of experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois Food Service Sanitation certification
- Must be able to read, speak and write English
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Experience level: 2 years
- Dietary procedures knowledge
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
