Job Summary
The Cook at Cedarhurst Senior Living prepares high-quality, nutritious meals that meet hospitality and service standards, accommodates individual dietary needs, and maintains food safety and infection control. Responsibilities include portioning, timing, temperature control, documenting logs and compliance, assisting with training of new kitchen staff, collaborating with the Dining Services Director and other departments to foster a resident-focused dining environment, and upholding safety standards and regulatory guidelines while supporting teamwork and continuous improvement in culinary operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least one year experience as a cook preferred
- Applicable state/county licensure required
- Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain, required
- CPR or BLS certification preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems (EHR)
