Cook position at Cedarhurst Senior Living; responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet hospitality and service standards, accommodating dietary needs, maintaining food safety and infection control, ensuring meals are served on time and at proper temperatures, and assisting with kitchen organization and staff training. Works with Dining Services Director and kitchen team to foster a resident-focused dining environment; emphasizes safe food handling, documentation of temperature logs, adherence to FDA/state/local licensing guidelines, and effective communication with residents’ families about care and wellbeing. Requires licensure with applicable state/county authorities and Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain); CPR/BLS preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1 year cook experience preferred; proficient with digital tools and EHR systems; ability to lift up to 50 lbs (up to 200 lbs with assistance) and perform physical duties as part of kitchen operations.
